All of our tutors have a Bachelors, a Masters, and/or a PhD or are professional tutors who have thousands of hours of tutoring experience and teach in their mastered subject areas.
Mr. Daniel
Mr. Daniel combines his B.S. in mathematics with his M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology to create engaging learning environments for students of all backgrounds. He has worked as a professional tutor for over 7 years, covering high school and college mathematics courses, SAT, ACT, and AP exams. With his discussion-based approach to tutoring, he makes sure to understand where students struggle, emphasize areas of opportunity, and facilitate habits that translate to not only better test scores, but more confident learners overall.
Ms. Megan
Ms. Megan graduated from Georgia Tech with highest honors, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and was named to both the Faculty Honors and Dean’s List. She graduated from Walton High School as an AP Scholar with Distinction, a National Merit Semifinalist, and a recipient of the Georgia Certificate of Merit Award (top 5% of her class). She also earned recognition as a GHP finalist in Science (Biology), received a GSEF regional award, a Scholastic Gold Key in Writing, and numerous other national and regional honors in math and Latin. Ms. Megan has been tutoring students of all ages for eight years. She specializes in creating personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. Her tutoring journey began in high school while volunteering at local elementary schools, which sparked a passion that led to long-term teaching roles at various institutions, including Kumon, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s School Program, and Georgia Tech’s College of Sciences. She has also privately tutored a 7th grader for the SAT, who went on to score in the 95th percentile nationally. In her free time, Ms. Megan enjoys rowing, running, and reading (the 3 R’s)!
Mr. Michael
Mr. Michael is an empathetic math/science instructor and college admissions counselor with over twenty-five years of experience. He knows students gain mastery level mathematical skills when they approach the subject as something they enjoy. By using real-world applications, he transforms students from “I hate math” or “I’m ok with math” to “I love math”. The educational achievements of Michael’s graduates are noteworthy, 18% gaining admissions into Ivy League institutions or Stanford and 35% of his graduates have enrolled in top 50 universities. His commitment to student success not only helps them excel academically but also instills confidence that extends beyond the classroom.
Mr. Hasan
Mr. Hasan has scored in the 99th percentile (top 1% of possible scorers) on the ACT and SAT and has taught and tutored students in ACT Prep, SAT Prep, college essay writing, and extracurricular activities such as Science Olympiad in 1:1 individual tutoring and classroom settings. He is well regarded for his ability to break down complex topics and help his students achieve excellent scores on the SAT, ACT, and in the subjects he tutors, and has guided students to state and national level tournaments in Science Olympiad. During the course of his tutoring years, he has over 2,700+ hours of tutoring and test preparation experience, and is dedicated to making sure his students reach their goals and find enjoyment in the tutoring they receive.
Mr. Ron
Mr. Ron has a B.S. and a M.Ed. in mathematics from the University of Georgia. He has taught for many years at the high school level and has been tutoring at Peach State for several years. His teaching experience encompasses every high school subject from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus AB, and his tutoring experience includes those subjects plus: SAT, ACT math and science, SSAT, SAT mathematics subject tests (both levels), GRE Math, Phillips Exeter Math 1, 2, and 3, AP Calculus BC, and Georgia Tech Calculus II.
Dr. Keir
Dr. Keir holds a Ph.D. in the Humanities with a concentration in English from Clark Atlanta University. Her undergraduate degree was also in English Literature, with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. Although Dr. Keir speaks several languages, including Spanish and Chinese, she has chosen to currently be an English Instructor at Clark Atlanta University and Strayer University. Due to her ability to speak multiple languages, she has also worked extensively with teaching English as a second language. She has a special interest in advancing reading comprehension, critical thinking, and analyzing skills in all her students. Dr. Keir enjoys teaching and serves at Peach State as a tutor in English at all levels; Spanish and Chinese at the primary level.
Ms. Diana
With a bachelors in linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania and a masters in education, Ms. Diana has shared her love for the written word with students of all ages for over twenty years. She headed the elementary Gifted and Talented Education program before homeschooling for six years and has taught composition at California Baptist University. A professional writer and editor, Ms. Diana has also led at conferences workshops for public, private, and homeschool teachers on the best practices of writers. Her articles, prose, and poetry feature in magazines and anthologies.
Ms. Kaye
Ms. Kaye has been teaching and tutoring math and science for over 18 years. She has a Bachelor’s in mathematics and a Master’s degree in math education. In addition to private tutoring, she has worked at a couple of learning centers, Academic Solutions and Sylvan Learning Center, where she tutored math and SAT/ACT math test prep. She plans on pursuing a doctorate in Math Education. She currently teaches math and science at Eaton Academy in Roswell, GA. She enjoys teaching and takes great pleasure in helping students achieve success.
